Home Remedies: Chinese Herbal Tea

There is an old saying in China, " If you eat 3 red jujubes every day, you will never get old."

Chinese red date (Jujube fruit ) has been cultivated in China for more than 4,000 years.

Jujubes have been used from ancient times to enhance people's health across Asia, mainly China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and South Korea. Goji-berries and Chinese red dates both help to restore liver and kidney functions and rejuvenate the blood, improve sleep, release menstrual pain and work for general anti-aging.

It also contains vitamin C more than grapes and apples and it is especially the best to drink in winter as it has warming properties.

In Chinese medicine, Jujube is also often recommended as a form of treatment for anxiety.

Today, I will introduce a great tea with Chinese red dates, Goji- berries, and ginger that has been drunk very commonly in their daily life across Asia. I was introduced this tea 11 years ago by one of my Chinese friends and I am still a fan of this tea.

Unfortunately, a recent study published in the science of the Total Environment found that pesticide contamination in jujubes grown in China was high and some were exceeded the maximum pesticide residue limit for China, therefore it is best if you can find organic(有機)products as to avoid pesticides in Chinese red dates. However organic ones are not so easy to find. If you can't find organic Chinese dates, no problem, there is a way to remove pesticide residue. You can use apple cider vinegar to remove pesticide residue.
